The Coming of the Spirit

When you understand the implications of the coming of the Spirit at Pentecost, your own daily life can be affected and increasingly defined by it, just as the lives of the disciples and early church were from that time on.

  1. The power we need for our purpose and witness comes from beyond us.

  1. Gods holy, manifest, glorious presence comes to individuals.

  1. Fullness of the Spirit spurs speaking the mighty works God has done through Jesus.

  1. Every language, every kind and culture is loved and reached out to.

  1. Disciples are to be under the Influence.

So:

  • Gather regularly with saints where the glory of Jesus is expounded and celebrated.
  • Be yielded to the purpose of God for your callings.
  • Ask God regularly for fresh filling of His Spirit, the bringing of your heart and mind under His influence (Luke 11:13).
  • Expect God’s power to do His will and be His witness.
