The True and Better Champion

The story of David and Goliath from 1 Samuel 17 is probably one of the most well-known—and misapplied—passages in scripture. We all love a good “small guy beats the big guy” story, but that’s not primarily what this story is about. It’s about how God Himself, the True and Better Champion, defends and delivers His people from death.
