Scripture: Hebrews

The True Sacrifice

God deals with our ultimate problem, and secures our ultimate happiness, through His own self-sacrifice.

The God We Can Know

Because of Jesus, we no longer need to live a life focused making the cut, or external observances. We can live a life of freedom, love, and intimacy with God as our new norm.

The Advocate

Because Jesus is our Advocate who makes intercession for us, we can approach God. Let us draw near!

Response to the Awesome Christ

The book of Hebrews focuses on the greatness of Christ, and in this passage the writer describes three kinds of responses to Christ.  Which one best describes you?  In the process of describing these different responses, the writer also explains how believers grow in their relationship with Christ.

Draw Near, Hold Fast

Do not fall away from the living God; rather, draw near to the throne of grace.

Soul Rest

We all desperately need rest, a deep rest that only God can provide.

Jesus, the Faithful Builder

Hebrews 3:1-6 compares the faithfulness of Jesus with the faithfulness of Moses. Moses testified to Jesus’ faithfulness, a faithfulness demonstrated by how He kept His promises. This was true for the people of Israel and is also true for us today.

Brother, Captain, King

Jesus is the Most High King—yet He gets involved with us, faces death for us, and claims kinship with us!

The Last Word

Jesus is the climactic revelation of God’s glory, to whom we must give our unrelenting fixation.

Joining the Team

God has designed the universal church to be grouped into many local churches, each of which function as unique combat units, serving God’s special purpose in their time and place.
