Obedience is central to the Christian life, but your focus on Jesus determines your heart for obedience. Where is your heart?

“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.”

These are priceless truths in our battle against temptation, and in pursuit of true joy.

Let the person who is poor boast in his high position, and let the rich person boast in his low place of humiliation. (Paraphrase of James 1:9-10)
