The gospel of grace frees us to give grace by limiting our freedom for others’ sake.

The event of Philip leading the Ethiopian to faith in Christ was unusual and Philip was an awesome Christian, but let’s not limit our focus to the event and person. Let’s focus on God, who did many things to bring about this event and who also used this event and Philip in many other ways.

God sovereignly reaches new cities and people groups only through the “living sacrifice” of His people to Christ. That was true in the 1st century; it is true for you today.

God designs suffering to accelerate the progress of His children and His Church.
