It has always been an amazing story, but when we look at the story to see the heart and character of God and also the heart of the wise men (magi), we will stand in awe even more. Our own hearts will be freshly motivated to be creative worshippers of such an amazing God who reaches out to people in endlessly creative ways.
To retain the wonder of Christ’s kingdom, we need an orientation toward Jesus that transcends the terrific joys and the terrible disappointments of life.
Jesus’ commands to “judge not” and “not throw your pearls” expose our pride and lack of love and drive us to the gospel of grace.
